About Getting into Sport
Börja Idrotta is a platform in collaboration between RF-SISU Östergötland, local associations and actors, where we have gathered all sports associations that offer activities for children and young people in Skäggetorp, Ryd and Berga. All associations listed on the page have an ambition to welcome more participants from these areas. There are activities to participate in all year round, but during the school holidays there is an extra wide range on offer, which we compile here on the website. The activities are organized by local associations and operators.
This is part of our work within Idrottsklivet - Östergötland and Priority areas - Östergötland. Idrottsklivet is a government-funded initiative to give more children and young people the opportunity to enjoy meaningful leisure time and become part of the sports community. In order to build bridges between children and associations, school collaboration and Movement initiative in schools - Östergötland is an important tool in this work.
The vision for Sport Life 2023-2025 is:
- Increase the number of people, mainly children and young people, living in designated areas who participate in community-led activities.
- Increase access to stable sports activities in the selected areas.
- Increase the number of sports and youth leaders operating in the designated areas.
- Contribute to meaningful and active leisure for more children and young people.
Our role at RF-SISU Östergötland is to coordinate sport locally in the area, keep together collaboration between actors both within and outside the sports movement, support associations in specified areas and strengthen association knowledge and popular education activities. Everything is done in close dialog with the specialized federations that have chosen to operate in Skäggetorp and Ryd. In addition to Idrottsklivet's areasSkäggetorp and Ryd), we also work with the priority area Berga.
